Shipping Supervisor (Garment Manufacturing)

Company: A leading garment manufacturing and apparel organization with over 30 years of experience, boasting a global supply chain and merchandising offices servicing markets worldwide. Our company exports high-quality products to renowned fashion brands across the globe, with major markets in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Now. they are recruiting one Shipping Supervisor with Garment Manufacturing experience to join their merchandising team in Hong Kong.

Job Description:

• Supervise a team responsible for executing shipping operations in China, Cambodia, and Hong Kong.
• Provide comprehensive support to the operations team regarding all shipping-related matters, including customs documentation, ensuring timely schedules and shipments.
• Collaborate with the accounting department to manage budgeting and forecasting activities, while efficiently processing daily shipping and transportation orders.
• Establish and enforce policies, guidelines, and procedures to enhance the overall shipping process continually.
• Independently handle a complete set of import/export (I/E) shipping documents, letters of credit (L/C), customer and vendor correspondence, as well as other banking documents and import/export declarations.
• Proactively follow up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure urgent shipping schedules are met.
• Generate and maintain shipment reports and analysis reports on a regular and timely basis.

Job Requirements:

• Degree or Higher Diploma in logistics management
• At least 8 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 3 years at the managerial level
• Strong planning, organisation and negotiation skills;
• Good understanding of US/UK/EU Markets
• Familiar with shipping in a manufacturing environment
• Good knowledge in I/E procedure & regulation, L/C & banking document handling and Tradelink declaration
• Familiar with PC knowledge in MS Excel, Outlook & Chinese Word Processing.
• Good command of written Chinese and English
• Required to travel to China & Cambodia Occasionally
